Here at Black Isle Renewables we specialise in the installation of high quality ground source and air source heat pumps. Fitted alongside underfloor heating, radiators, solar panels and whole house ventilation systems we accurately assess the needs of your project and can offer a combination of renewable energy products that are right for your home or business, and right for you.
Grants & Incentives
By choosing a MCS accredited installer like Black Isle Renewables, you have the option to make use of a range of grants and incentives offered to help with the costs of integrating renewable technologies and future-proofing your home. These include the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) and Home Energy Scotland Renewable Loan, among others.

Our Start
We started with a clear purpose and a singular mission: to be the go-to in renewable heating solutions in Scotland.
2014
First 10
We grew to 10 staff based in our Northern HQ, many of whom are still part of the BIR family today.
2019
NEW OFFICES
We moved to a great new facility in Dingwall, to act as a base for our expert service and installation teams.

Design & Installation
At Black Isle Renewables you can count on our Design & Installation team to handle all aspects of your self-build or renovation. From explaining the right renewable heating solutions for your project, through to financing, installing and commissioning your solution as an MCS accredited provider.
Service & MAINTENANCE
A well maintained heat pump not only ensures your system runs efficiently but is necessary to maintain warranty cover. Often a requirement of any grant or incentive provision, ensure the smooth functioning of your system at all times through maintenance cover from Black Isle Renewables.

The Braddicks - Invergordon
Before speaking to Black Isle Renewables, the Braddick’s home was fitted with storage heaters. However, these were difficult to control; getting a consistent temperature was challenging and concerns about costs & efficiency meant that they chose only heat certain rooms.
The McClaffertys - Burghead
Mr & Mrs McClafferty live in a bungalow in Burghead, enjoying spectacular views of the Moray Firth. Originally having a wet central heating system with electric boiler, run on off peak electricity, they found that the system was inflexible and very expensive, with costs peaking at £250 per month.
